Joshua – Status Update
April 7, 2026
When Sue arrived, Joshua was undergoing a 60 minute test that was part of his order. The test was to go an hour totally unhooked from his mask and any oxygen. During that test, Joshua was able to keep his oxygen up, which is really exciting.
Most of Joshua's day was spent in a sitting position. PT came and did some exercises with him, but didn't attempt standing/walking yet. Hopefully that comes soon.
While working with Natalie on some of her needs, I took a moment of respite to go check on Joshua. You can imagine my surprise when I got to his room and the hose feeding his mask air had popped off and Joshua was stressing on what to do. I learned later that the hose had popped out several times throughout the day because of a loose connection.
Before leaving, we gave Joshua an update on Natalie. Both Natalie and Joshua have been asking about each other. They are both itching to visit one another. I am so thankful that they are such good friends. Also, before we left, Joshua made sure to use the letter board to remind me that he won our family March Madness tournament.
