Natalie – Status Update

I'm not sure if we will remember it this way, but today was Mountain Dew Day. Natalie had a swallow study which cleared her to begin eating and drinking a restricted diet. Her beverages need to be thickened and her food needs to be soft or pureed. A highlight for Natalie was when I returned from work and was able to share my Diet Mountain Dew with her. The nurse was concerned that the bubbles in the thickened pop were a bit much for Natalie, but it was so nice to see the smile on her face.
