Natalie – Status Update

April 13, 2026

For Natalie, April 13th is 'Planner Day'. This is the day she can place the order for her next planner. As soon as I walked into Natalie's room, she gave me her phone and pulled up the site where her shopping cart was full. After a bit of trimming, and sending some Apple cash to her, the purchase was made. She was a bit disappointed we didn't have it sent directly to the hospital.

Later during PT, I was able to see Natalie stand. It wasn't her first time standing, but it was my first chance to see her stand since she was in the hospital. It is frightening for her as she is exercising muscles and doing things she hasn't done for a while. I am confident she will regain the skills, but for now, she is fighting both physical atrophy as well as emotional anxiety.
